MAX BABER - Assistant Professor

I encountered this sign after crossing the Marienbrücke while visiting Schloss Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. It indicates a hiking trail to Tegelberg (a nearby mountain popular for its panoramic views) and provides a "life-danger" warning for those who would traverse this potentially hazardous route. Life's an adventure, yes?

  • AEGIS - Academic Excellence and Geographic Information Systems (AEGIS) is a multidisciplinary effort to introduce students in a variety of lower division Arts & Sciences courses to methods of GIS data gathering, analysis, and representation. This three-year project (2003-2006) is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation's Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement program offered through NSF's Division of Undergraduate Education.
  • START - Science, Technology, And Research Training (START) is a program developed by M-POWER Ministries to bridge the digital divide with students in inner-city Birmingham public high schools.
