Client: MyJoy, Inc. – Chain of ten McDonalds Restaurants in the Birmingham area. Performed two market studies.

 

Client:   AmSouth Bank  -  AmSouth Bank is the largest bank in Alabama. 

Responsibility:  To analysis bank mortgage market by census tract for each of the 10 MSA's in which AmSouth  operates.  Development  of a credit model for the mortgage market.

 

Client:   Protective Life  - Birmingham based  insurance company with over 1,000 employees, listed on New York Stock Exchange.

Responsibility:  To conduct statistical process control (S.P.C.)  training for the CEO and the top 50 executives in the company.  Following these sessions Dr. Marshall served on all of Protective Life's oncoming T.Q.M. teams as Team Facilitator.

 

Client:  The Baptist Medical Centers - Birmingham based holding company with nine acute care hospitals and more than 7,200 employees. 

Responsibility:  Statistical process control (S.P.C.) training for quality control staff and staff development officers on an on-going basis.

 

Client:   Hanna Steel - Major producer of steel pipe and  tube in the United States. 

Responsibility:  Following completion of an analysis of the market for steel pipe and tube in a thirteen state catchment area by the company, Dr. Marshall participated in the strategic planning for company expansion to over 40 percent additional capacity.

 

Client:   The Southern Company - The holding company which  owns Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Mississippi  Power, Gulf Power, and Savannah Nuclear Power. 

Responsibility:  To gather information and develop several cases which are currently used in management training.

GRANTS

 

"Student-centered, outcomes-driven, performance-based and assessment integrated model of learning" funded by The Fund for the Improvement of Post Secondary Education (FIPSE) U.S. Department of Education (1996-1998).  Samford is one of eight schools participating in the grant with Central Missouri State University.  I head the team that wrote the Samford's grant and am responsible for leading the implementation.
